Title: The New Man
Author: Beth H ([personal profile] bethbethbeth)
Possible warnings - highlight to view (may contain story spoilers): Nothing in particular. Please leave a comment if anything seems problematic.
Pairing: Snape/Hermione
Word Count: 8300
Author's Notes: This was written as a combination of some elements from the original prompt (see below) and as an homage to, well, that would give it away, wouldn't it? Click here to see the [possibly spoilery] source of the aforementioned 'homage.' Generally canon compliant, apart from the Epilogue.
Summary: Ten years have passed since the War, and Hermione is happy with her great job, her wonderful flat, and even her social life. It's true that her love-life is practically non-existent, but Hermione isn't particularly bothered by that. Then she meets a new man . . . but just how 'new' is he?

Original Prompt: Years after Snape's assumed "death," Hermione randomly encounters Snape, who's living as a Muggle and remembers nothing of his past, his magic or his former identity. All he knows is that he's an average man who was horribly injured in an accident and that he woke up in hospital afterward. Hermione's drawn to the mystery of how his memory was deliberately erased (and by whom). UST and eventual romance would be great.

Title: "...as we join this man and this woman..."
Author: Beth H ([personal profile] bethbethbeth)
Summary: A Coming Together in Eleven Parts with Eleven Second-hand Titles.
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Remus/Hermione
Warnings: Some mentions of secondary character deaths (sorry, but there's a war going on).
Spoilers: All five books and beyond.
A/N: Many thanks to Gaeta for the speedy, way-past-her-bedtime beta. Also? I've shamelessly stolen borrowed Ars Alchemica - my favorite imaginary scholarly journal - from the SS/HG side of the fandom.

Original Drabble by Leogryffin

"Celebration"

"I'm ready," Remus said with a wan smile as he adjusted the unfamiliar
tie. "This Muggle suit is ridiculous, Hermione."

She grinned as she planted a kiss on his cheek. "You look wonderful, of
course." She turned away. He was struck, not for the first time, by her
tired eyes. What was left of innocence - for everyone, it seemed, not just
the schoolchildren - had vanished in a haze of pain and loss. They had
managed to look forward to celebrating the wedding of their friends, but
the empty seat that would have been taken by Harry...

He shook his head and cleared his throat. "You're beautiful, Hermione," he
whispered before he could take it back.
