I'm still on the look out for good Bruce Banner focused Avengers fic. And if anybody knows of any epic length Bruce/Tony/Pepper stories, well...i'd be willing to pay for that information. In fake cyber-money, of course, but still!

BTW: one week into my new Avengers 'thing,' and there's already a separate page (here) for Marvel Comics fic. Eventually, I suspect all pairings/threesomes will be represented.

Summary: After many months spent working closely with her former professor, Hermione Granger is absolutely certain that Severus Snape's near-death experience in the Shrieking Shack transformed him completely - and all for the better. However, judging by the comments about Severus that Hermione has been noticing recently from her other colleagues, it's clear that her positive opinion isn't shared by everyone. What could explain the vast gulf between the Severus she's come to know and the Snape that everybody else seems to be seeing? Author's Notes: Title taken from the much-quoted catchphrase of legendary British race commentator, Murray Walker. With thanks to Malcolm Folley's 2009 book Senna Versus Prost (although very little from the book was actually incorporated in this story), the usual online sources (wikipedia, youtube, etc), and some dimly remembered in-person encounters. (Note: if Julie - i.e., the OFC - were in fandom, she'd probably be wishing her name was "Mary Sue" so that she could have a little more influence on the events taking place around her. With any luck, she'll grow out of this phase. With even more luck, someday she just might be awesome.)

Special Note about Phantom Recs: For a long time, I was wary of reccing anything in this ff.net-based fandom. Most of the stories I was reading would have benefited from at least a little more proofreading, and more importantly, the majority of my favorite fics seemed...a little over-wrought and melodramatic. But then I realized that the same could be said for the [over-wrought and melodramatic] canon(s)! And so...recs!
